About the Project

Mylo is a commuter-first, seat-based mobility app for corporate and shared transport in Mumbai, designed and built end to end by Arcforth. Riders search a route, choose a Nodal Bus, Nodal Cab or Station Shuttle, reserve a seat and travel on a QR ticket, with Track Ride, SOS and a Chat Bot built into the app.

Mylo's commute from start to destination: home, packages, stops, seat map, ticket and live ride tracking

The Challenge

Daily corporate commute was broken for both riders and operators.

  • Pain Point: Unreliable Public Transport

For daily commuters, public transport was unreliable and chaotic.

  • Pain Point: No Guaranteed Seat

Cabs were expensive and inconsistent, and no option guaranteed a seat.

  • Pain Point: Rigid Route Planning

Operators needed route planning that could adapt dynamically, with routing driven by demand.

  • Pain Point: Corporate Rules and Reliability

Corporate mobility demanded rules, policies and reliability, not just bookings.

Objectives

Build a fast, commuter-first experience for repeatable, seat-guaranteed daily travel.

Target:

Optimise for repeat usage and deliver a predictable commute app.

Approach

Mylo was designed around a tight, repeatable commute loop:

  1. 01. Discover & Select Route
  2. 02. Choose Package
  3. 03. Pick Stops & Reserve Seat
  4. 04. QR Ticket
  • Operational Realism

Rules, timing and failure states baked into the UX to handle real-world logistics.

  • Speed for Repeat Usage

Efficiency prioritised over novelty for riders who use the app every day.

  • Clear Visibility

Policies and constraints shown upfront, so riders can trust what they book.

  • Packages & Passes

  • Seat Reservation & QR Tickets

Map-based stop selection and a quick, confident seat reservation flow, ending in a QR ticket that riders can reschedule or cancel.
