About the Project

Ques.uk is a UK student events and ticketing platform built by Arcforth. Students get one trusted place to discover what's on in their city, while organisers use Ques for Business to build a page, start an event and launch ticket sales, then run QR entry and get paid out.

Ques.uk event discovery: student events with dates, venues and likes in one feed

The Challenge

Student events were fragmented across students, organisers and the team: WhatsApp groups for discovery, spreadsheets and cash for operations.

  • Pain Point: Scattered Event Discovery

Events were scattered across WhatsApp groups and random links, with no trusted place to find what's happening near me tonight.

  • Pain Point: Spreadsheet Operations

Organisers ran their events on spreadsheets, with no proper tools for event setup or ticketing.

  • Pain Point: Cash at the Gate

Entry relied on cash at the gate, leaving organisers with no clean way to reconcile sales.

  • Pain Point: No Central Oversight

The Ques team had no single place to approve events, watch platform health or step in when something went wrong.

Objectives

Build a city-aware, multi-role platform where students discover events instantly and organisers run operations cleanly.

Target:

Deliver a live operational system, not just a ticketing website.

Approach

Ques.uk was built around three tightly defined journeys, integrated into one seamless flow:

  1. 01. Discover
  2. 02. Details
  3. 03. Pay
  4. 04. QR Entry
  • Strict Role-Based Permissions

Secure environments for admins, organisers and students to interact safely on one platform.

  • City-Aware Architecture

A city-intelligent event feed designed for multi-city expansion from day one.

  • Payouts and Verification as Core

Payouts and verification were treated as core features, not add-ons, because the platform carries real money flows.

How Ques for Business works: build your page, start an event, launch ticket sales

  • Organiser Ops

Tools to create events, configure tickets, track sales in real time and manage gate entry.

  • Admin Governance

Central control to approve events, monitor platform health and step in when needed.

  • Payout Engine

Built for real money flows, so organisers get paid accurately and on time.
